Marine Protected Areas in Sardinia
What are the Marine Protected Areas
The Marine Protected Areas are marine zones – which sometimes include land portions – that have areas of particular importance from a naturalistic, environmental, biological and geological point of view.
Visiting MPAs, national parks, marine parks, and sites of community importance could contribute, along with other responsible behaviors, to the safeguarding of natural environments.
The creation of marine protected areas and parks allows for the protection, management, and preservation of the heritage within them.
