How do you reach the coves of the Gulf of Orosei?

Almost all of the coves (Cala Mariolu, Cala Biriola, Cala Sisine…) can only be reached by sea: every morning, rental inflatable boats with or without skippers, motorboats, and private boats depart from the port of Cala Gonone. Cala Luna can also be reached on foot from Cala Fuili in about 2 hours of trekking. Cala Goloritzé can be reached by land from the municipality of Baunei or by sea from Santa Maria Navarrese.

Is it better to take an inflatable boat or a motorboat to visit the gulf?

The inflatable boat (rented or with a skipper) offers total freedom in terms of schedules and stops; the motorboat is more economical and convenient for families with small children. In July and August, both options should be booked at least a week in advance.

Cala Biriola
