For campers looking for parking areas with a sea view, there are several options to consider along the coast of Sardinia. There are Sardinia campsites and rest areas, here are some suggestions:
Wild Beaches: Along the coast of Sardinia, there are numerous wild and unequipped beaches offering breathtaking sea views. However, it is important to remember that free camping may not be legal in all areas, so be sure to check local regulations before settling in. Some popular beaches for camping are the Gulf of Orosei and Is Arutas Beach on the Costa Verde.
Panoramic car parks: Along the coastal roads of Sardinia, there are many panoramic car parks offering spectacular views and breathtaking panoramas of the sea and surrounding cliffs. These parking areas can be ideal places to stop and enjoy the sunset or the view during the day. However, be sure to check the local rules and not to obstruct the road or disturb the surrounding nature.
Coastal Routes: Many coastal areas of Sardinia offer hiking trails that follow the coastline and offer breathtaking views of the sea. For campers who enjoy trekking and exploring nature, parking their camper van near one of these trails is an excellent option to enjoy the sea view and access to beautiful walks.
Parking Areas: In some of the less touristy areas of Sardinia, there are unequipped rest areas that offer the possibility of enjoying relaxation and silence. These areas may not have services such as water or toilets, but for campers seeking a wilder and more authentic experience, they could be an interesting option.
Protected Areas and Natural Parks: Some nature reserves and national parks along the coast of Sardinia may allow free camping or offer unequipped parking areas with a sea view. For example, the Gennargentu National Park offers opportunities to park your camper van and enjoy the view and the silences.
