Cala Coticcio Sardinia

Cala Coticcio, also known as Tahiti, is one of the most famous beaches on the island of Caprera in the Maddalena archipelago, located off the north-eastern coast of Sardinia. Since the Maddalena archipelago is a National Park, the preservation of the natural environment is a priority. To preserve the beauty and uniqueness of this place, access to Cala Coticcio is restricted and regulated

1) the entrance ticket

How to pay the entrance fee Cala Coticcio

The procedure for paying the entrance fee to Cala Coticcio and Cala Brigantina it is not simple and is very bureaucratic. We will therefore try to explain the steps clearly.

Cala Coticcio: guided tour schedule

Guided tours start at the following times:
first shift: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
second shift: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
third shift: from 13:30 to 18:30
fourth shift: 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

How to book guide Cala Coticcio

The TA areas of Cala Brigantine and Cala Coticcio are designated as areas of outstanding natural interest and require strict protection, so they are not freely accessible. In fact, these trails may only be accessed in the company of an authorised environmental hiking guide. There are penalties for violating these regulations.

The La Maddalena Park has selected almost 40 guides who are registered in the relevant registers and have the necessary skills to take you to this wonderful little corner of Sardinia between sea and nature. The Environmental Hiking Guides (GAE) are the only ones authorised to accompany visitors on the Cala Coticcio and Cala Brigantina trails. This is the updated list

Regulation Cala Coticcio

In order to protect Cala Coticcio and Cala Brigantina as much as possible, the Park Authority has drawn up a regulation with a few simple obligations to comply with:

it is forbidden to disturb animals
collecting flowers, endemic or endangered plants
introducing animal species alien to the existing fauna
collecting stones, fossils
practising sporting activities with motor vehicles
abandoning personal items
putting up posters

Other important rules to remember

smoking is not allowed
disposable plates, cutlery and glasses are not permitted
parasols may not be placed
a beach towel may only be used if it is on a mat that does not collect sand
clothing and footwear must be rinsed before leaving the beach

To get to Cala Coticcio you must

  • arriving earlier in La Maddalena by taghetto
  • once you arrive in La Maddalena you can also continue to Caprrera by car, in fact Caprera is connected by a bridge)

    puis

    "Le paiement du billet d'entrée au Cala Coticcio doit être effectué par l'intermédiaire de la plateforme PagoPa en suivant les indications suivantes ce lien

    Indiquer comme motif de paiement : "Excursion Cala Coticcio "ou "Excursion Cala Brigantine "et inclure le jour et l'heure.
    Le billet d'entrée n'est valable que pour le jour indiqué et ne peut être remboursé."
