The Municipality of Olbia has published regulations outlining what is prohibited on the beach, covering activities that are not allowed across all beaches in the Municipality of Olbia.
What is not allowed on the beaches of Olbia
Leaving umbrellas, chairs, sun loungers, or camping equipment on free beaches after sunset
Driving and/or parking vehicles, motorcycles, mopeds, and any kind of vehicles except those used for beach cleaning, rescue, or other specifically authorized vehicles.
Stepping on the dunes and the associated vegetation. Dunes refer to sandy accumulations located behind the beach, arranged parallel to the coastline, with irregular shapes dependent on the direction of the prevailing winds.
Leaving boats in a stationary position to avoid obstructing beach activities, except for those intended for rescue operations and assistance to bathers.
Bringing any type of animal. The ban does not apply to life-saving dogs equipped with certification and guide dogs for the visually impaired
Discarding or leaving any kind of waste on the beach, even if contained in appropriate bags.
Using soap shampoo while bathing.
Moving, damaging, or hiding fixed or floating safety signs set up to protect public safety.
Lighting fires or using open flame appliances or electric ovens on the beach
Two Special Rules
There are two rules to observe on the beaches of the Municipality of Olbia that are very important and that perhaps not everyone knows, especially those coming to Olbia for the first time. We highlight these two prohibitions separately because they are specific and differ from the standard beach regulations.
