About

Cala Sassari is one of the gems of the northeast coast of Sardinia, located a short distance from Olbia, in the municipality of Golfo Aranci. This enchanting beach, characterized by fine sand and crystal-clear waters, is a paradise for sea and nature lovers. Its privileged location, nestled between granite rocks and Mediterranean vegetation, offers breathtaking scenery, making Cala Sassari a must-visit destination for anyone visiting the island.

The beach stretches for about 200 meters and is sheltered by a wide bay, making the waters calm and safe, ideal for families with children. The seabed is shallow and sandy, allowing even less experienced swimmers to enjoy the turquoise waters. The surrounding area is rich in services, including bars and restaurants offering local specialties, making the visit even more enjoyable.

To reach Cala Sassari, you can easily drive from Olbia, taking the SS125 and following signs for Golfo Aranci. Alternatively, if you are already in the area, there are also buses connecting nearby locations. Once you arrive, I recommend getting there early in the morning to secure a spot on the beach and enjoy the silence and beauty of the place before the crowds arrive.

One of the characteristic features of Cala Sassari is definitely its sunset: the warm colors of the sun sinking into the sea create a romantic and evocative atmosphere. Don’t forget to bring a camera to capture the magical moments this beach has to offer, as every corner tells a story of natural beauty and tranquility.
