Cala Luna is a beach in Cala Gonone, Sardinia (Italy). It is sheltered from the maestrale and ponente winds.
You can reach it by sea with excursions or taxi boats from Cala Gonone, or on foot by following the coastal trail from Cala Fuili, which takes approximately 1.5–2 hours. By boat, the landing point is the beach itself; on foot, the path ends on the shoreline.
No reservation is required for the beach itself, but it is advisable to book for boat excursions in high season to secure your spot. Some boats and tours have limited capacities and depart at scheduled times.
Cala Luna can be suitable for children if the sea conditions are calm; the shore is sandy but you need to supervise them due to the presence of spots with sloping seabeds and caves. If taking the trail to arrive, consider the length and difficulty of the path for younger ones.
There is no parking directly at the beach; useful parking areas are located at Cala Gonone and Cala Fuili, from where you can embark or walk. In summer, spaces can be scarce, so it’s better to arrive early or use boat services.
Permanent services are limited: there may be some seasonal refreshment points, but not always; it’s wise to bring water, food, and all necessities. Lifeguard services may be absent or limited, so be cautious while swimming.
